Minor Project | Error Render Tests .02

After feedback from Phil, I decided to return to my renders, those focused on using script and failed renders as a way of texturizing a model, in an attempt to push the idea of them continuing to exist in a 3D space, searching for a way of combining the ideas of substance and surface into one rendered product.

  1. just in terms of legibility and depth perception etc... these are still reading as 'murky' or rather a bit purposeless - not a judgement on the trajectory of your 'research', but a judgement on my ability to 'read' these images 'as' images... For me, one of the weaknesses of your Adaptation B film was the way all the layering and greying basically flattened your imagery - so the 3D factor (the materiality factor) was lost, leaving us with a sort of 'white noise'. I think there's a bit of that happening here for the viewer of your work. To me, the 'beauty' isn't available, because the image plane is flat.
